Hard disagree. iOS UI/UX is sub par compared to Android. Consistent visuals and fancier animations don’t mean that the UI is good.
Non-competes are illegal in California and should be illegal everywhere else too.
26 y/o from Sri Lanka. Hate automatics. Daily drive manual cars and motorcycles with gears.
Stab them in the eye with a pin?
It’s just plain better than any other alternative. Better UI, better UX, better features, better customization, support for Monet… I could go on all day.

This made me laugh more than it should’ve.
Super reasonable pricing in Sri Lanka. Will upgrade to Ultra Lifetime once (or if) you localise that. Keep being amazing and doing amazing work LJ! You rock.
Sri Lanka, please. And thank you for your hard work. Seeing your Sync for Lemmy announcement in-app in Sync for Reddit is the reason I joined Lemmy.
Splurging $20 on a Lemmy app with my country’s currency devaluation is not going to work for me. Nothing against you or the app, the app is amazing and leagues ahead of the competition. But I’m not even sure if Lemmy will be the replacement for Reddit and how it’ll all pan out after the hype wears off, so I’m going to wait for regional pricing for this one.
ITT, bunch of people who have never used Sync for Reddit whining about Sync Ultra and the app having ads. 🤦🏻♂️
Chill, mate, it’s open-beta. Sync Ultra was a thing on Sync for Reddit as well, which comes with features that need constant cash such as server maintenance etc. IAP for ad removal will come soon.
IAP for ad removal will come soon. It’s the first open-beta, give it some time.

Already did. Now I only visit Reddit to check out some niche communities that are not on Lemmy yet.
Loving it. Reminds me of the olden days of Reddit where the communities were smaller but everyone was contributing more.
The bugs and the issues help sell the fact that it’s a smaller community so even those don’t bother me so much.
Signed up for Lemmy just because you’re developing an app for it @ljdawson. Can’t wait.
In this day and age it’s more likely that you don’t have voice minutes or SMS quota remaining than you not having internet access.
