I am running manjaro with a AMD 7900XT GPU, i needed to do a lot of work to get my windows vm to display correctly and it does not perform well in terms of graphics inside the VM. Personally I keep a dual boot with Win11 debloated to run games that require kernel level anticheat. Kdenlive is great, I’ve been editing a lot of my videos on there and some shorts on YouTube. It’s got a pretty unappealing UI but one you get to know and figure out where everything is you can get some content out :)

Omg it wasn’t like this a while ago, I can’t belive it! I’m going to reinstall it to play as soon as I can. Needing to reboot to windows just to play is the reason why I play Battlefield 1 a lot more. Thanks :)

EasyAntiCheat is the biggest problem on Linux, I have to boot to my windows install just to play The Finals and Hell Let Loose… It’s such a shame cuz I think the developers can enable a setting to let it run on Linux but then that would mean they would actually have to support players who are playing on Linux and that’s too much work for big corpos

I agree, the tight deadlines make them copy paste and progressively increase the assets size without any eventual cut down on unused code or assets.

That’s sick, I didn’t know that the jak and daxter seriers had their own language and engine to make the game. It’s amazing to see an open source reverse engineer of this that ports the game into a fully native game.

I used Void with xfce for a year and I feel like it was the best “new” distro I’ve ever had my hands on. It was clean, efficient and I loved initd and xbps.

True, it is not worth the risk. But if this person is not in a country where you can easily get a jig legally then they can at least try the foil method.

I counter this, I have a V1 and have only used the foil DYI method and it works flawlessly every time I needed to do it again.

Void Linux was my daily driver for around a year and it was fast, really fast, and had a lot of tinkerability. I highly recommend it.
