I always considered Vanilla to mean default and not “boring”. I feel like only a minority of people interpret it that way and even fewer use it that way.

Skyrim. You CAN pay attention to what’s going on but you don’t have to, just look at the pretty landscapes while listening to your podcast and follow the questmarkers.

Really unique but i never finished it, didn’t like the exp mechanics encouraging me to do strange things to minmax(i optimized the fun out of the game).
