These new snapdragon based windows laptops have to be a serious wake up call for intel. General personal computing is quickly moving away from x86 and the latest “efficiency” core processors from intel can’t compete.

I think intel is in serious trouble. The market is shifting away from x86 for mainstream computers and intel just can’t compete with ARM devices on power. These snapdragon based windows laptops coming out are performing really well for most use cases and it’s going to relegate x86 to just gamers and high end workstation use.
If you want something that lets you physically remove a WiFi card check out the frameworks laptop. Other than them there is no such thing as a “WiFi card” in laptops, it’s all fully integrated now and I’d be surprised to see a new laptop from factory without some version of WiFi built in.
The GBA Pokémon games are great, my 8yo loves them.
Harvest moon series is also a good bet.
Kirby games
Yoshi’s island on snes
I got it last week and it’s amazing! I’m totally in love with it. I’ve had multiple handhelds over the last couple years, mostly anbernic devices, and this one is just amazing. Rg350m, rg351mp, rg353m, rg35xx was my favorite for a while, then powkiddy x55, now this Odin 2.
The finish feels really good in the hand, satiny without being too slippery. The color nails that old school Nintendo atomic purple vibe.
Performance is fantastic, screen is great, battery life is great, hand feel is just right, no complaints about buttons, sticks are silky smooth to use.
And one feature I’ve wanted in a retro handheld forever - Bluetooth headphone support!
Purple 12gb version!
Nice, I’m excited, my Odin 2 arrives tomorrow hopefully!
I asked if it had stripes mid way through and it said no….its wrong. Lame.
This is the first I’ve seen of it but I’ll guess it’s a retro gaming emulator handheld, android or Linux based. So it’ll run whatever its chips are powerful enough to run.
My take, a big focus of retro gaming is on the handhelds coming out and N64 games are only just becoming playable on the latest hardware. Definitely no loss of love for the N64 out there.
Get it from Amazon if you are going to buy one. Anbernic is in China so their customer support on a $70-80 device is barebones to non existent.
They seized a bunch of Linux devices with retroarch and roms that were probably actually worth a couple hundred thousand at market prices for these devices. You can get a handheld thing for under $40-50 on aliexpress and it comes filled with hundreds or thousands of roms and rom hacks.
