And the f slur means “a bundle of sticks”. That doesn’t make it not a slur.

You can’t use norms and morality to defeat fascists
We know for a fact Trump will use this to abuse his power as much as possible. The high road isn’t sitting down and taking it, it’s using the power that was just handed to you to do something about it. There practically is no such thing as “illegal” now when it comes to the president. Biden doesn’t need to commit murder to make a difference. He could, for example, expand the Supreme Court so the conservatives no longer have the advantage, or cancel student debt to get more supporters, or do anything other than cry about it.
I think they should be working for the people. The government isn’t (supposed to be) a money making scheme.
That is fucking amazing (pun intended)
Only because they haven’t figured out a way to do that yet
You’re expecting them to put thought and effort into this
Not the search engine. The Android app has a feature called App Tracking Protection that blocks trackers in other apps, akin to PiHole, but run on the device.
On Android, using an app like DuckDuckGo or TrackerControl is huge for protecting your data in other apps
The Local Calendar integration stores the calendar on the server running Home Assistant, so as long as you can access the server remotely, you should be able to access it through the Home Assistant app. If you want it stored offline on a mobile device, there’s also an integration for calendars stored in a .ics file which you could sync with something like syncthing.
Home Assistant. I wouldn’t use it just for calendars, but I already had it set up for home automation and calendars are a built in feature.

KYC is “Know Your Customer” aka identity verification. Usually it would be something like a selfie of you holding your ID, proving you are the person on the card. If you think getting your identity stolen from one picture is bad, wait until you learn about social security numbers. It’s a 9 digit number based on publicly available information about you that is incredibly easy to figure out, and are used as like the defacto way of verifying your identity in the US, when that was never its intended purpose.
Home Assistant actually has its own voice control now. You can even set it up to trigger on the wake word “Alexa”
Awesome! I’m glad I could help. Good luck! I’ve been spending quite a bit of time figuring out how to get this to run alongside other services. I think I just need to add an extra iptables rule to ignore port 443 so https requests will go through traefik first.
I’ve been looking at setting up something similar and plan on following this guide, and putting Traefik in front of it as a tcp reverse proxy .
It’s literally just racism. People act like other social media platforms aren’t just as bad about privacy because they sell your information instead of giving it directly to the government.
There was literally a Senate hearing today about KOSA, the bill allowing the US government the legal grounds to control sources of information on the internet. So no, they aren’t totally different things.
And I was specifically referring to this part that OP said:
I heard that the Chinese Communist Party was collecting some worrying amount of information on their user base
The only difference between the Chinese government and the US government collecting information is that the US goes through a middleman who aggregates it from multiple sources.
Meta/Twitter/YouTube have everything to do with this because they’re doing the exact same thing. Do I need to mention the numerous times Facebook has been sued for illegal data collection? Cambridge Analytica ring a bell?
Every social media site does the exact same thing. There was just an article on here the other day about the US government buying people’s information from data brokers. How is that any different? Meta has been censoring anything pro-Palestine, Twitter is a breeding ground for Nazis, YouTube picks and chooses what counts as “mature content” aka what gets monetized. The way TikTok treats privacy is how every social media platform treats it, it has nothing to do with them being Chinese.
The constitution has been ripped to shreds, spit on, and set on fire. Any moral high ground is meaningless at this point.
