Agreed on word fence.
I didn’t say to specify a port in the DNS. I just said that it is a way that we can resolve a resource.
In the case of ports we’d configure it through whatever webserver (Apache, nginx, traefik, whatever) configs necessary on that machine. The DNS in this scenario would only be for the machines IP where our webserver then routes traffic to different ports.
I was accounting for both valid setups.
That suggested, it could be done with ports, or it could be done with separate servers.
Domain.com resolves to 1.2.3.4
www.domain.com resolves to 1.2.3.4:443
app.domain.com resolves to 1.2.3.4:5555
Games.domain.com resolves to 1.2.5.6
Mail.domaim.com resolves to 1.2.7.8
Portal.domain.com resolves to 1.2.9.10
Etc, etc.
Russian state media just showed nudes of Trump’s wife during prime time tv.
We’re in a weird spot.
Been saying it for over a year now. My prediction was sometime between January 1 of 2024 and January 1 2030 at the absolute latest.
It will be the flashpoint of WWIII
Oh my goodness would you look at that it’s lemmy.ml again

thank you for telling me I should block you.
The good guys are the citizens who want none of this.
The bad guys are the citizens who want all of this, and the military personal behind the weapons, and the generals calling the shots.
Same as it ever was.
Edit: Lemmy.ml disagreed and nobody was surprised 🙀
She’s in a bra, dammit, religious shame is so dumb. Who cares??
Everyone has a cell phone, we can see titties any time.

Because I posted a fun reasonable nonsense and y’all keep downviting and responding.
There are better ways to disagree with reasonable discourse.
I agree that controlled detonations can be the safest route, especially for highly unstable materials where any disturbance could trigger them. I’d understood, though, (again, not an expert), that in many cases… especially if no immediate threat to people is present… technicians might start with robots to examine the material remotely or potentially neutralize it without detonation, if safe.
And, from my non-expert opinion, some explosive materials are sensitive enough to warrant a controlled detonation right away, but it seems there are far, far more often initial remote investigations before they make that call, to avoid unnecessary detonations. It’s always fascinating to see how much science goes into evaluating safety protocols! Or doesn’t, in this case.
I see youve never heard of robots
FYI: explosions != Safety protocolI
I have a dream where I visit St Petersburg, Finland soon.
Pro-tip: don’t use it on job applications.
Many systems auto reject forms with voip numbers to weed out bot traffic.
They detonated it?
I mean, I’m no expert but… Isn’t the goal to diffuse the bomb/make it useless?
Maybe they wanted to have a little fun 💣
Yeah, I know that I’m reasonably articulate.
If the audience isn’t picking up what I’m throwing down, I ain’t here for it.
