yep
I am a reddit refugee. And a Foss enthusiast.
yep
oh ok. here is the log https://pastebin.com/FQSf9TUN, I have only included errors and warnings but if you need anything else I’ll try to include more stuff. But the log file was bigger than 512kB. Anyaway I searched my error online and found it is likely a driver issue, but I’m pretty sure my drivers are ok.
P.S: After a more careful look I noticed this:
12163.213:0128:0198:err:kerberos:kerberos_LsaApInitializePackage no Kerberos support, expect problems
12163.215:0128:0198:err:ntlm:ntlm_LsaApInitializePackage no NTLM support, expect problems
I have no Idea what they mean tho
thank you
browsers have become probably the most secure softwares on your computer.
No, no they did not.
so you can’t boot windows from the bios? In that case I think you have to reinstall windows.
try going into root and running grub-update. also, do not run it like: “$ sudo grub-update”, but as “$ su” and then “$ grub-update” that might fix the problem. also ensure you can boot into windows from bios.
we need to at least make a plastic that is sustainable, biodegradable, and with a shorter lifespan depending on the applications. for example, a water bottle could be made to last 6 months or so depending on the size, while a keyboard could be made to last decades before starting to break down. this would be quite hard to achieve, but if we want to keep all the commodities given to us by plastic, while also keeping our health, we have to invest some money into research.
the main reason are package managers, since the package managers on linux are much easier to use than winget(the one in windows). apart from that, there are not many other reasons to switch.

i looked at some fractal design cases and i like both the meshify 2 and the focus 2. the focus 2 seems to heat up slightly more from what I have read tho. I will probably get a meshify 2, thanks for the advice! the computer should be done before august, since I should get the components around the 24th of july. and another question: is it really important to keep cpu and gpu temperatures as low as possible? or is there a certain temperature I should try not to reach?
I already have the peripherals. I prefer smooth gameplay over good graphics. My monitor is a 1080p 144hz 23" monitor.
1080p
PS. I mainly play videogames, but sometimes compile code or use a CAD or blender.
typo. i meant x11. anyway when I get home i’ll try using nvidia-utils
i have a laptop so no
