Yeah. Good job dealing with Nordic Nazis, government, now please also take care of the American ones.

I doubt it… They couldn’t even manage to block FFWD on their own website for the longest time. I switched to using alternative front ends long ago, but back when I just used YT directly from my phone’s browser, spam tapping +5s a few times would bypass the ad.
Very little most likely. I was reading some of what the sponsorblock dev had to say about this and the tone seemed to be “meh, there will be a way around this”.
Sure but that’s still validation right? “I’m powerful because I can get people to do what I want them to do”.
I remember when I needed the constant validation of getting sex from women in order to feel like a winner. Then I stopped being 20 years old.
Damn I didn’t realize there were people who still didn’t know the infamous pony story. Yes, Elon is a weirdo, and like many a rich asshole, believes he can coerce, purchase, or is otherwise entitled to, consent from random women.
I’m not a conspiracy theorist or suggesting that there’s any connection between these events, but does anyone else find it kind of nuts how two notable government officials have died in aviation accidents this year?
I think Blender, and to a lesser extent Godot, were able to start making leaps and bounds like that due to funding as well. My memory is hazy on it but I recall probably 5-ish years ago the Blender foundation got a massive capital boost, and Godot has seen a lot of big name donors recently due to the Unity debacle. As far as I know, that hasn’t really happened for GIMP yet. I used early builds of both Blender and Godot, and the difference is night and day with how much they’ve managed to mature. GIMP on the other hand looks and feels largely like it did in 2010 IMO.
Sounds like reddit. They started banning blocks of VPN IPs after they locked down their API (presumably to prevent screen scraping). If you really want to visit, proton stealth protocol is able to get through sometimes, and old.reddit seems to get through all of the time.
I was briefly able to get to https://archive.org/donate - I’m going to kick them a few bucks and recommend anyone else who can afford to also do so.
There’s also this, copied verbatim from the site:

I say we go full Streisand effect on whatever dickhead is trying to censor them.
Yeah that’s very true.
With it being local it’s probably a small and limited model. I took a couple courses on machine learning years ago (before it got rebranded as “AI”), and you’d be surprised at how well a basic image recognition model can run on the lowest-spec macbook from 2012.
We’re looking at how we can use local, on-device AI models – i.e., more private – to enhance your browsing experience further. One feature we’re starting with next quarter is AI-generated alt-text for images inserted into PDFs, which makes it more accessible to visually impaired users and people with learning disabilities. The alt text is then processed on your device and saved locally instead of cloud services, ensuring that enhancements like these are done with your privacy in mind.
IMO if everything’s going to have AI ham fisted into it, this is probably the least shitty way to do so. With Firefox being open source, the code can also be audited to ensure they’re actually keeping their word about it being local-only.
Why the fuck would anyone want to be the Microsoft of anything?
Dickheads coming to shill for YT Premium in 3… 2…
Perhaps I’m more sensitive to tramadol, because for me it does slightly dull pain, but also makes me profoundly drowsy and itchy. I took it for one day after being prescribed and decided that tylenol was a better option.
Yeah… that’s insane. I recently had surgery and was administered a small dose of fentanyl via IV while being held in post-op, I was also prescribed tramadol for pain management afterwards. Both drugs turned me into a zombie on their own. I can’t imagine mixing both, and also layering on weed, as a recreational substance.
The article title is straight up misinformation at present. From the article itself:
The FuryGPU is set to be open-sourced. “I am intending on open-sourcing the entire stack (PCB schematic/layout, all the HDL, Windows WDDM drivers, API runtime drivers, and Quake ported to use the API) at some point, but there are a number of legal issues,” Barrie wrote in a Hacker News post on Wednesday. Because he works in a tangentially related vocation, he wants to make sure none of this work would break his work contract or licensing etc.
Nothing against OP who simply copied the title, nor the project author. This is impressive but it’s not yet open source and there may be legal hurdles preventing it from becoming so.
Do you want to lose customers forever? This is how you lose customers forever.
This is about the dumbest business decision either side could have made here. The Affinity tools’ only competitive advantage was not having the Adobe pricing model. Canva’s pricing model is basically dogshit Adobe lite.
Yeah so I get banning him but did anyone over at twitch also think to… I don’t know… contact the FBI? Seems like that should have been the first thing to do, no?
