Nice. Get ready to scale your servers, folks!
…and they said you were mad to hoard all that blubber!
Ummmm… we’ll take the tariffs. Some offense, Americans. (jk love you guys)
Must be a time travel thing. Some advice for you, visitors from 24 hours ago: learn Dutch. The Netherlands conquered the world in the 18-hour war and English is a dying language. And stock up on whale blubber. You’re gonna need it.
Dunno. It’s $78K now.
They’re about to launch a second flagship server to relieve some of the stress on p.s. It sounds like it’ll be in the next day or two (but you never know with them).
Might be a good option if you’re still having trouble when they fire it up.
The server’s getting hammered today for sure. People on the server are posting at a rate of 5 posts per second. It’s wild.
Registrations are open though. The local timeline is filled with first posts from accounts created today.
Pixelfed SMASH
Already nearly $75K:

Just $500 from their funding goal! 🎉
Edit: goal met!
Yes. He paid $730 000 to have five people killed. The only reason those people aren’t dead is that the people who took the money were scammers and cops.
That’s a fair point that he wasn’t convicted for murder-for-hire, but it still factored into his sentencing. Also, being shitty at murder-for-hire doesn’t make you less guilty of the attempt.
So what? This isn’t a court room.
The prosecution deciding to not file those charges because corrupt agents complicated their case and they had enough evidence to lock him up for forever plus a day doesn’t mean that he didn’t try his absolute hardest to murder five people.
That’s a different thing. The court found that he commissioned the murders-for-hire specifically and believed that they would be carried out.
I’m not a prosecutor but it was presented in court and factored into his sentencing.
The court found by preponderance of evidence that he commissioned those murders.
The guy tried to kill five people. What’s the appropriate sentence for murder for hire?
I don’t think that it can just be declared satisfied, though. I imagine Google and Apple’s obscenely top-shelf representation will be like, “this has about this much legal merit”:
But who knows! :)
as long as 90 days if a path to a qualified divestiture has been identified, “significant” progress has been made to executing the divestiture, and legally binding agreements for facilitating the divestiture are in place.
My point is that no path has been identified, no progress has been made, and nothing is in place.
