I bought it before it was Google. They bought it out from under me and then, predictably, discontinued it while it was still working fine.

Ubiquiti equipment is the antithesis of local self hosting. You are required to sign in using their servers, and they require you to use a second factor email confirmation every time you want to access your local equipment. Since you can’t sign into your local equipment without an internet connection you can’t firewall the ubiquiti devices and they can report whatever “telemetry” data they feel like.

That might be true if there weren’t literally a million other games to play instead.

It’s a 20 year old game going into abandonware mode. This is the nicest way for them to do that.

This is stuff they collect when you are interacting with Apple services. The problem with windows copilot is that it collects info about everything you do, even when it has nothing to do with Microsoft.
