I have to disagree with you that it’s not a form of payment. How many platforms offer a subscription model to go ad free? Ads are a revenue stream for any given platform. You either pay the platform with your money, or your time watching ads.

I work for an international conglomerate. One of our major pieces of internal software is SUSAN named after the guys wife. I’ll never remember his name, but his wife will always be in my mind
My wife had been after me to go to couples therapy. I was convinced we didn’t need it. After a while, I just scheduled something and sent her an appointment notice. Figured if she thought we needed it, I’d give it a try.
She called the therapist and cancelled our appointment soon after i sent her the notice. She claimed, “we didn’t need to spend money on that right now.” She hasn’t brought it up since.

You made it further than me. I was an absolute completionist in OOT and when I started MM, I just extremely put off by the reset time and do things over again. I wanted to finish what I was in the middle of, but having to be interrupted and even plan what I was going to do rather than just explore and fumble through things really bothered me. I really don’t think I made it through more than a handful of time resets before I gave up

Not going that route, but covid quarantine definitely showed me how much time I can save by having someone else do my grocery shopping for me.
My grocery store has an annual membership of $100 which includes same day pick up and next day delivery (in a refrigerator truck), among other benefits. Grocery shopping is done on my couch in a fraction of the time. While handling 2 toddlers, that benefit is well worth it to our household
If you want to see it easily, check the Chipotle app. They contract their delivery, so if you change menu from pick-up to delivery, you can see before your eyes how much it’s marked up.
My wife and I used to argue about getting Chipotle delivered when it’s less than a mile from our house. I’ll gladly go pick it up and save the $10-15

Everyone keeps talking like there isn’t a free version. I didnt pay anything to down load thus app. Did I get hidden charged or something?
This is one of those franchises that I never liked because of over hype. My buddies were talking this game up so damn much, talking about how awesome it was. I just kept thinking "ok when does it start to be fun? "
When I got to the twist, I was so disengaged that it just soured it even more for me. I wish I could play it without the hype so i could form a different opinion
