Yep. The idea that Reddit Admin did this to nullify the blackout was suspect from the start. Why would it only be on r/AdviceAnimals? Lol
People are mad at Reddit right now and we’re looking for any reason to confirm their bias and run away with their narrative.
I feel like there is a potential but minor problem with Lemmy’s algorithm. It favors new comments but what if the post itself is asking a question with a definitive answer? The best answers might get buried by side discussion as time goes on.
A lot of subs are back to public this morning.
It would be a nice feature to be able to group communities into feeds.
Wouldn’t it face the same issues that 3rd party apps are?
They should have used a subscription model where it doesn’t work unless you have one.
