Oh thats cool, I can make use of that for sure. Thanks for the explanation!

Are distroboxes, podman, and docker all names for the same type of program? I’ll have to start researching the ones you mentioned and see if it fits what I’m doing.

Can I setup docker containers on it?

I like your dollar an hour rule though, I might use that in the future. Its funny though, my most played game was free and I have 2000+ hours in it!
Edit: I forgot rocket league was 30$ originally! Still a good deal!

I like some of the early access development styles used in things like Enshrouded and Satisfactory, so mostly ive been spending on games like that. I like the idea of collaborating with a player base to create a game together I think.

Its bad press for them. The whole game is bad news for them all the way around. I bet they won’t ever mention it by name again.

Is switching the launcher equivalent to switching operating system? I’m a bit concerned it would still be tracking and collecting data.

How are Onn or Xiaomi different? I think Onn is walmarts brand right?

I can’t stand asymmetric sticks. The 8bitdo pro2 is the best controller ive found right now, but this new steam controller looks awesome.

What they posted is replacing almost all the internals. Hard drives should be fine but motherboard, CPU, RAM, and GPU, thats all of it.
Hopefully you have a case rather than a prebuilt, but you can get nice new cases for 50 ish brand new right now.

I work at a computer parts store at we already have people coming in asking for “GTA 6 ready PCs” so its at least going to have a huge launch just from hype alone.
It really depends how Rockstar gauges success, whether its copies sold or total profit from transactions. Those goals lead to different games, although to be fair they did make two different versions of GTA 5 and just packaged them together, the single player game and GTA Online, so they might be able to achieve both goals this time too.

I started with one of the optimized packs and then added stuff I thought was useful: maps, minimaps, backpacks, way stones, ultimine via enchants.
After I played that for a while and beat most of the game I wanted to, I tried a vanilla plus pack, betterMC. It had a lot of the same mods but more. After I finished that, I went with allthemods10, but at that point you do need youtube and discord open to ask questions or look up how to do certain things.
Anyways, had a blast with all of it, I’m on vacation now so I’m playing no mods on my steam deck and as long as I turn on keep inventory its not bad at all. The new copper update is pretty cool!
Edit: just want to add that applied energistics and mekanism are fantastic mods, I’d put them up there with create, so if you haven’t tried them it might be worth just adding one or both to an otherwise unmodded playthrough.

Something chili based is fantastic. I’ll use just chili powder if needed but something like a siracha is fantastic with so much stuff.

I’m not a chef but I work in IT. The problem there is IT people on average are horrible at communicating and empathy.

Thank you! Appreciate taking the time to type this out.

Can anyone interpret this article? Its very technical and even the summary was hard to parse.

I dont think you know much about the minecraft scene anymore. Java is still the better product, by a large margin in my opinion. Bedrock is a closed off version for kids on console.

It only worked for fortnite, I thought I made that explicit but if I didnt, my bad. For some reason fortnite console version allows mouse and keyboard, at least thats why I think it works.

Ive literally done it, but thats not to say it might not work all the time or under all configurations. I was using I think librefox.
I didnt know they had multiple versions of bazzite, thats good to know. Appreciate the advice!
