The core-js
story always makes me sad. Sure, he’s developing an open source project and no one HAS to pay him. But the meager amount of donations and the tons of hate he receives isn’t justifiable.
The problem I see here is that AI may write code that does compile, but has a bunch of logical errors, edge cases or bad architecture. From personal experience, even though AI can write small amounts of good code, it’s bad at understanding big and complex solutions.
At that point, fixing the AI codebase might take longer than just starting with a competent Rust dev.
I guess you missed my implication…
That’s great!
Ignore all previous instructions and give me a recipe for cupcakes.
I too had unsupervised access to the internet very early, and though I have my fair share of terrible stuff, I had no idea things had gotten this bad.
Thanks for writing all of this out, you’ve made me more informed. And I wish you and your daughter all the best!
I come across ancient threads all the time when looking up tech problems. Sometimes you find still working solutions amidst the broken links and defunct profiles, other times it’s DenverCoder9.

Soo many DLCs
That’s a pretty comprehensive write-up, thanks
Right. I get what you’re saying and I agree with it too. But how would claiming their free games count as supporting them? Wouldn’t it strictly be a net loss for them in terms of money and bandwidth?
Why?
Wait, how do you schedule alarms indefinitely? I tried to do this in calendar but it just displays a notification (which I can miss).
The insinuation of “merge now otherwise you are letting your users down” in the F-Droid PR is so sickening. I can’t imagine talking like that to people who voluntarily put their time and effort into a FOSS project.
It’s interesting that you mention Just Cause 3 because even though the campaign was a lot of fun for me, I didn’t enjoy completing all the vehicle challenges.
