I’m on POP!_OS. I’m sorry to hear it doesn’t fix it. :( I wonder if a recent update caused this.

I’ve been experiencing something similar lately and what I found helps is to go to your audio settings in your OS and change the audio output device to something else and then change it back to the correct one. If it doesn’t work the first try, try again.
I hope that helps. It works for me. I never had this issue until recently. It’s really annoying. :-/
I was wondering why it looked different from some of the screenshots I see here but when I play on mobile it’s just an endless list that gets bigger and requires a lot of scrolling. Switched my browser to desktop mode and now I can see you can drag and drop stuff. These types of games are so simple but so addicting. Ahhh
I’d recommend POP!_OS. Very easy to install and use and most games I’ve tried to play work without any problems.
I’ve been told what it means yet every time I see it my brain goes “for the…” and I can’t figure out the last 2 letters. And I have to look it up to be reminded that it means “fixed that for you”. But every time I forget and I have to look it up again.
Play games on GeForce NOW at a higher resolution than 1080p. :-/
Baldur’s Gate 3, mostly. But I’ve been playing Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous when the others in the group I play with can’t play.
Oh, and some Cities Skylines II here and there. Works reasonably well with the controller, but it’s not perfect.
I really like it so far, especially with the new apps. I’m using Boost and I honestly can’t tell the difference between this and the old Boost for Reddit. The transition is really smooth. Oh, and everything on Lemmy feels very intuitive and the people seem less toxic.
And Mastodon…I really like it. I’ll post something with the right hashtags and suddenly there’s a conversation between a bunch of people with the same interests that goes on for weeks!
Avalonia does support Linux. :)
Yeah it’s insane how expensive everything gets. I’m subscribed to a bunch of streaming services (like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, etc) and sometimes I use them a lot but HBO, for instance, I’ve only used a few times and it’s just sitting there on our smart TV taking up space and draining our bank account. But I got it when there was a really good deal and if I cancel and resubscribe I have to pay the full amount. Then again, I’m probably wasting more money with it now than I would’ve if I’d just cancelled and then resubscribed when I actually used it. Oops.
But yeah, I’m definitely not going to pay more for those services than I am now, so if the pricing gets even more ridiculous I’m out.
Some of my favourite that bring back good memories:
Joey, and Boost up until a few years ago.
Hadn’t heard of this before but looks interesting and fun! Found any good games for it?
Thanks so much for everything!
I am trying it out now! I like the layout / UI; reminds me of Boost and Joey which I liked a lot. One thing that bothers me is the colour scheme, though. In light mode it’s blue (?) and dark mode is more like some weird grey mode, and I’d prefer it to be a darker grey like in most apps (perhaps it could be more customisable so that people can change it to fit their preferences).
But Huffman says the “pure infrastructure costs” of supporting these apps costs Reddit about $10 million each year.
Eh, so although, according to him, the third party apps cost Reddit 10 million per year, he still decided that 20 million a year from a single third party app developer is reasonable? I think he needs to learn some basic math…
I like it! Has a nice ring to it.
I was so surprised to learn few people knew about Joey. When I found Joey I was just looking for a popular app with high ratings through the Play Store and I never even questioned that Joey was one of the most popular apps.
It’s too bad so few people knew about it because it’s one of the best Reddit apps I’ve used and I would’ve loved to continue using it.
Not sure about the upcoming months but I felt like 2024 started off with quite a few games coming out one after another, including Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth, Helldivers 2, Last Epoch and Dragon’s Dogma 2.
And Manor Lords is coming out this month as well.
