I’m very much onboard with this. Idk if I’d say it’s the libraries job though, I think it should be at the city level for community instances.

conduwuit, a matrix home server it is so much faster and works so much better than the Dendriter server it replaced.
Yes rates are used most of the time in forms of address. However you do have a rank, for example E-5 or Petty Officer Second Class. However when addressing enlisted you’d usually say something like CTM2, IT2 etc… Until you hit chief then you are just called Chief, or senior if you are a Senior Chief, Master Chief doesn’t get abbreviated to Master for obvious reasons, and MCPON is usually referred to as “mic pon” phonetically for Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy.
So, veteran here. I’ve tried to talk people out of joining the military or at least trying to avoid jobs with high probability of seeing combat. Usually the result is they just start prying about what combat is like and make statements about how much they want to experience it.
Another tack I haven’t tried but it might be more effective, is to describe how miserable it is to have the stench of a burn pit wafting over you, always wondering if the distant gunfire will move in your direction, being stuck manning a 24/7 watch where if even one person who can do that job dies or is otherwise incapacitated you will be stuck doing 12hr shifts instead of 8. Then you get back home and have to fight tooth and nail for benefits from the country that fucked your life up in the first place.
War is hell, coming home is hell, forcing that on someone can only be justified if they are literally at home fighting off an invading force.
Some apartments double nat
I agree, only sensible way to do it
Matrix is the way to go
I refuse to use game subscription services and most subscription services for that matter. So if I play this game, it will be after I bought it
I blame the cigars
What’s wrong with their encryption?
Huh, cool hadn’t realized Mordor was originally a Batman game
Let’s gooo, some good news
I use element, I like the interface, and the option to opt into beta features. Though I did use Fractal for quite a while, since it is lighter than electron, and I usually use gnome so it integrates nicely. Though I can also recommend Nehko if you used irc a lot. It was my main irc client back in the day and I loved it, I just kinda fell off when everyone moved to Discord though I might switch back to it from Element at some point after the spec is more stable, Element is still the fastest way to get updates, and is pretty much the best mobile client.
MTLS is for transport layer security, not authentication security. This is closer to those RSA keys where there is an RSA server keeping track of all the fobs that can be queried to figure out what number they are currently showing. Acting as a something you have factor of authentication, proving you are who you say you are.
My instance is pretty fast. Run Conduwuit as the server, problem solved
