Hello! I’m Jake and I’m slowly getting my head around kbin (and by extension, Lemmy).
Perhaps spinning up a kbin instance wasn’t the easiest way to start out 🤣

Check out Pixelfed for an Instagram replacement. Seems to fill the same sort of use case
The great thing is that it doesn’t matter which platform “wins” or not. They work together fine so you just use the one you prefer.
As a long term Sync for Reddit user, this is absolutely fantastic news!
Or even just Linux Mint (non-debian edition). I’ve moved to that as it’s a familiar Ubuntu base but without snaps.
