This is from July 11th. Nothing new as of now that I’ve seen.
But closer to October we should be on the lookout.

Definitely speed. My ISP runs on another service providers hardware and it bugs out from time to time and I get 1/10th of the speeds I usually have. My ISP has no way of knowing this so I have to know when it happens and place a ticket so they can place a ticket on the hardware guys.
Does anyone know of a speed test where you can set it up to run by itself regularly and push a notification to a channel (like pushbullet or similar) when the speed is below a certain threshold?

Edit: I went with self hosted speedtest-tracker as a docker container and notifications through Discord webhook.
Thanks for all the tips!! ❤️
Just today spent way over an hour setting up a Chromecast with Google TV at father in laws today. Factory reset that thing four times. Used every wifi connection I could find and finally got it working by hot-spotting my own phone and setting it up.
Not buying more Google. It’s just hot garbage at this point.
The plagiarism machines aren’t what you think they are.
I’m still confounded by workplaces that run the old nineties way of VPN handshake by browser. Clunky, clumsy just straight up bad digital workplace setup.
There is no reason to not do it the modern way where all the handshaking and connecting is done under the hood, hidden from the user. At the most you as a user should only see the tiny little systray icon switch how it looks.
But instead use…?

Shitter TV. Only spelled differently.

The difference is time. With time a federated Threads will build it’s own massive library of content, suck in it’s own users and then slowly make all of that proprietary and locked down from the rest of the fediverse.
It’s a long con that’s been done several times by big corporations.
De federate now and that content and those users will have to choose now. Meta or fediverse. The scales are still uneven, but less uneven than in that future.
This in Western Europe? I live in northern Europe and have traveled a lot throughout all western Europe. Where the heck is this squalor you’re talking about exactly? Please be geographically specific.
The alternative launchers available for set top boxes are pretty good. Biggest feature is they’re completely ad-less.
