I just started using Bazzite. It’s my second attempt at a Linux gaming setup (Pop_OS was first, Bazzite is working out much better).
What made you lean away from Bazzite, if you don’t mind expanding on that?

It’s only $99/ year!
Though you can only read it on registered devices.
On top of all this, what really irritates me about epic is they talk like they give a fuck about consumers, but never act like it.
Too many knocks to the head.
My first and current distro is Pop_OS and it’s been a bit of a pain in the ass. I need to run terminal commands to get Bluetooth to work, Rocksmith is a lost cause, my display signal dies randomly, forcing a restart.
Thinking about Bazzite, but read this article and maybe Ubuntu is just easier, for now?
(Nvidia gpu giving me pause over which will support it better)
I’ll bet people said the same thing when Intellisense started suggesting lines completions.
And when errors were highlighted in the code rather than console output.
And when high-level languages started appearing.
Joke: The first app to get rid of is iOS.
(I’ve been making iPhone apps for a decade, let me rant!)
I went between the Olympics and Paralympics. I liked it a lot. Wandering streets in the Latin Quarter. Poking around random shops and such.
Went to see Notre Dame, the Arc and the Effiel Tower as the main attractions.
I went to the Louvre but its was crazy busy, even on a weekday. Kind of hard to enjoy it and there were very few places to sit, even less where you could sit and enjoy the artwork. Still went to have a look at Lisa and Venus, pretty neat.
The food (as long as you stay away from tourist traps) was great! Do try a baguette by itself if you can. I had no idea bread could be so deep and complex and just damn tasty by itself.
I just use a good quality moisturiser, but I do get a little irritation.
+1 to everything here and also that a mod can make mistakes and not be immediately shit-canned. We may not all agree on everything, but I think we all want a healthy and lively federation.
Mistakes can be made and as long as we own up to them and try improve, we’re in great shape.
Figma - Ligma - Ligma balls!!! GOTTEMM
It sounds like you want something a little more arcadey than realistic.
If I were you (and multiplayer sounded like a good time) I would legit consider something in the Battlefield series.
Arma 3 has a bunch of land sea and air vehicles and a lively modding community creating missions for you to play solo or multiplayer.
I jumped ship to PopOS a few months back.
There are some issues, like Bluetooth not starting without some terminal commands, I think I have to wipe or otherwise mess around with my 1TB NTFS storage drive to mount it and stuff like that.
But all the games I’ve tried to play work fine.

This friend of a friend hardly competed in the Amazing Race?
Because, if so, I already got it!
My SO and I have been together for around 15 years. We’ve had our ups and downs, like everyone else, but I think we’re in a really strong place for the last year or so. I’ve had to face up to my imperfections and work to change them. But some of our problems were caused by my now diagnosed ADHD. (Medium severity inattentive type)
And she just rolled with it, she has accommodated my newly discovered needs like it’s nothing. She is compassionate and understanding of my preference to write down timelines so I can see the whole picture. She is happy to take housework off my plate that I’m simply not built to do well.
Holy fuck I love this woman.
I slept on my DOTA2 invite and only years later dumped 3k hours into it.
I won’t make that mistake again, given the chance.
It’s true, but Intel fucked around for years and now they’re finding out. I’m happy to watch them stew for a year or so before getting back on their feet.
I knew the first, but not the second.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCPhbN1l024 Futurama at it again.
Thank you for the reply.
I’m just getting into these things. And immutability seems like a double edged sword.
