Really cool to see a new IP from Capcom and it being an aesthetically pleasing defense tower game is interesting and takes me back to the Onimusha/Okami/Viewful Joe days

Probably because MMO is not the trending buzz word for execs and shareholders. Plus you got an example of a successful live service game (Helldivers 2). Doubtful that these are the type of people to be in touch with what people actually wants
Ready to cry and be confused again
Since there are so many bands and music that made me cry, I’ll share a recent one that made an impression and was the album of the year 2023 on me was Blue Rev by Alvvays. Give it a shot if you love indie rock
I’m glad he didn’t, and honestly why would he?
Hmm that’s something that I might try out, as I have tinnitus for one of my ears
I finally finished it close to the end of last year and let me tell you, the last few quests were just so bloated. I honestly think the weakest point of the game was towards the end. Not story wise but gameplay wise. It felt like a gauntlet of will to finish
GameCube was the Nokia of the gaming consoles. Actually, it probably still is.
I’ve seen so much Michael Scott qualities in this man. It’s hard not to like him, but it’s also harder not to make memes out of him
I would go out on a limb and say it’s probably the joys of traveling and discovering things along the way. The Bethesda “magic” is their approach in open world game design. In almost every corner, there’s something interesting to discover (side quests, well crafted environment, and characters). When you take that away and replace it with just mundane fast traveling, loading screens, and procedurally generated empty maps, then you get Starfield. It’s a Bethesda game missing that Bethesda “magic”
As a former Floridian, this is definitely triggering my PTSD as they seriously nailed the atmosphere of Vice City (Miami). Curious if the main characters will be as well written as V’s were
You don’t even have to go that far for the joke. An official Bloodborne PC port releasing first would be a miracle. God do I pray for that port release 😭
Yeah that’s how developers respond to negative reviews or problems that their players have.
Are you really surprised by what corporations will do in the pursuit of profit?
Gotcha, sadly, these are some people’s sentiment regarding AAA studios. Modders are a blessing but then these companies find ways to exploit the passion of their community and fans.
Let’s not give developers the habit of relying on modders to finish their games. I’m tired of studios releasing half ass games
It’s such a blow to the gut to watch this. I don’t often watch The Completionist’s content but when I do, it was enjoyable and he has such a following. To taint and take advantage of the concept of charity is so egregious. Hopefully it doesn’t deter people from charities but instead do more extensive research on the charitable organizations and foundations on their own
Yeah I’ve definitely reached that burnout before! I had to take a bit of time out of coding in general. I would suggest doing something different that doesn’t involve a computer screen like some of the suggestions here. Things like maybe hiking or bird watching. I’m sure there’s a bunch of local organizations that are available for you to find that involves outdoor recreation.
If you want to combat that burnout with coding still, maybe try learning something different from what you’re used to, like game dev.
Just because it’s about space doesn’t mean it can’t be written well, or have any well thought out game design, or any optimization.
Ah it’s like reuniting with old friends
