Who could possibly be motivated to do such a thing??? Hmmmm

Thats a pretty miserable take on modern life, and I’m amused that your golden era is during World War 1. Enjoy your mustard gas and spanish flu!
I was with you until the last two sentences and then you just dove overboard. Life is fucking great compared to just about any time in the past. You know refrigerators have only been around for a little over a hundred years? Same with antibiotics, antibacterial soaps, indoor plumbing, electricity, tv, radio, and obviously the internet. Sure corporate bullshit sucks, but the level of comfort we experience while not dying from minor infections by the time we turn 30 is pretty fantastic. Even with stupid rules like this video games are fucking amazing. I’m typing this message with a magic light up box that can play music, order me delivery, pay my bills, look up nearly any knowledge available to mankind, and show me things beyond the wildest imagination of anyone prior to the turn of the century. Life is amazing, we just have to keep fighting the assholes who want to keep all the awesome stuff for themselves.
Therefore, Capcom can go suck a fat shit.
Yup, took this off my wishlist as soon as I saw the requirement in the store. At least steam warns you about it. I would love to play this game but there’s so many other great games to play it doesn’t feel like much of a loss for me.
Depends on the exam. Some don’t even allow programmable calcs because they don’t want to deal with possible shit like this. I have already seen a certification exam where they provide the calculators as well.
I’ve had to provide my transcript for several job applications. Government ones seem to usually ask.
There’s a playstation overlay now? What the fuck for?
We are talking about lawmakers making this demand. They don’t have a fucking clue what the difference is between all these possibilities.
Well that’s cool. It sounds like its still only online for windows PC? Which is odd but… uhhh ok one more reason to ditch windows haha
Tempting but last I checked they made this online only for some fucked reason, so it really defeats the purpose for me. Would love to have this on the steam deck for on tho go sessions.
Much like when I hear about Call of duty I get a little surprised every time I hear this series is being made still. Not because it’s bad or anything, I really dont know, its just because the series got old and repetitive to me like a decade ago. How do people just keep eating the same regurgitated stuff over and over and still love it so much??
You have to take in money for laundering to work. This is just money hemorrhaging. They fucked up royally, I think largely by not advertising. No one even heard of it until news of the poor release numbers made headlines, and that sure didnt entice purchases.
Alright so if I was the leader of a country and looking at my enemy country’s election I would consider saying I support someone who I don’t want to be in office so that people vote for the person I do like. But then again maybe I would know that people would know that so I would choose to support the opposite person instead. But then I think to myself “they probably know that I would know that they know I know what they know. And knowing is half the battle.” And realize G I Joe might just fuck himself up regardless of who I pick so I just choose a side and laugh about it because it doesn’t matter who I choose, only that I’m saying something to fuck with that entire country.
G.I. JOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEE!!!
New Order does a great job of classic shooter premise mixed with some stealth and overall badassery. Doom is a little more arena style, its like you explore until you get to a big room you fight a few waves of enemies in and then rinse and repeat. The shooting and movement are fantastic though, and even exploring and looking for secrets was well done (check the map and check it again). Titanfall 2 had some solid level layouts, and the wall running while on foot mixed with mech combat was grade A. They really should have done Titanfall 3 instead of Apex, but I guess corporate saw dollar signs in the gaming as a service thing and that was that.
All three of these games absolutely nailed what is important in a shooter - the shooting. Impactful, fun, cool weapons and a whole lotta targets to hit.
Resistance is one I can say I haven’t played in a long time so I don’t actually know how it holds up, but I remember loving it when it came out. Cool weapons especially
Bioshock
Dishonored
Prey
I might have a type. Honorable mentions to Resistance: Fall of Man, Wolfenstein The New Order, and Doom 2016. Titanfall 2 was also pretty great.
I get that - and that’s a fine choice. I suppose my point is that I view Google the company, the entire entity, as the enemy of privacy. Therefore, I want nothing to do with them if at all possible, on any level.
I will admit it’s depressingly difficult, the whole reason I’m looking at this is because my old iPhone is nearly dead and I’ve been wanting to get away from them for awhile too. It feels like I’m looking at American politics. Both major parties suck for different reasons but anyone else looks like roadkill by comparison.
¯\(ツ)/¯
Every excuse in the world to keep using products brought to us by the enemy of privacy. This is why there are so few options.
And yes, that’s part of my concern. Even if others don’t notice, I still know. I still would be a hypocrite, railing on google for their bullshit, and then still using their products.
I’m not really judging anyone for buying a Pixel and taking the easy way out. Trying to maintain privacy with tech is a major pain in the ass, it gets tiresome quickly. But holy shit, people in this privacy community sure are quick to rail on me for trying to avoid the largest offender in privacy invasion.
I’m literally in the process of trying to find one.
I was thinking the same thing. Kinda wish the conveyer belts would just fling them off into oblivion or something for me.
