Employees say they weren’t adequately warned about the brutality of some of the text and images they would be tasked with reviewing, and were offered no or inadequate psychological support. Workers were paid between $1.46 and $3.74 an hour, according to a Sama spokesperson.

I was talking to someone the other day, and they used a great phrase to describe what you are doing: “that classic Reddit performative snark.“ We both know you are not here really trying to have a conversation. You are grinding an ax, you are trying to make people look foolish in an effort to make yourself look right by dropping one liners/quips. It’s very disrespectful and it’s a waste of both of our times for you to pretend you’re not doing it. So if you would like to have a real discussion, I am on board, but otherwise let’s just move on.

At least you’re admitting what you’re doing, so I guess that’s something. I don’t agree that I have been treating you in kind, but if you just spend your days going around mimicking/mocking people who you think are “engaging in bad faith,” you’re not going to get a lot of great results. Ultimately it’s up to you to decide how you want to engage with people. Have a good one man.

@ReCursing, @Cube6392, @acastcandream - I think there is discussion to be had here, but it’s clear to me that folks are getting a bit too heated to be kind to one another. I completely understand, this is a topic that is complicated and that lots of folks are passionate about. I think it is probably time for everyone involved to disengage from the discussion and cool off. If you have questions or concerns, please direct them to me via DM.
