I can’t wait to build my own starship. Actually, that’s one thing that I’m both excited about and worries me.

I mean, back in the days, playing Kingdom Hearts, I spent more time building / improving my Gummy ship than playing the actual game. Many dozens of hours. So I’m kind of excited, and I hope I won’t go too far into that rabbit hole with Starfield.

Also, with a game of this scale, sometimes I end up getting tired of all the sidequests, things to visit on the map, etc. I mean, after 120 hours I kinda need closure. But that’s mainly when all that’s left doing is redundant (think Merlin Trials in Hogwarts Legacy…).

So I hope building and improving the spaceship is fun and that I don’t get tired of playing.

What about you?

I’ve heard some worries about not having manual landing

As a huge fan of Kerbal Space Program I would’ve loved seamless manual landing. But oh boy do people fail to grasp how huge actual planets are. Kerbin itself is only 1/10 the size of earth, and Starfield is intended to play in the “real” solar system and stuff. It would just take so damn long to get down to the surface, and by golly, walking and exploring a map of that size? That’s absurd.

Also I find it funny that they complain about reaching an invisible wall after traversing a map the size of Skyrim.

Yea, Skyrim is the size of a small town. But we’ve played bigger since it released, and I understand hitting an invisible barrier in a game that insists on large scale exploration would be particularly frustrating.
