The most popular such alternative is Matrix.
I really like it here

I decided to finally pick up Helldivers and I couldn’t be happier with it. The missions are entertaining and the community is great! The game is just… fun! There are still some bugs, like when I got stuck in the door of the extraction ship and died to a fire tornado lol, but those are rare, most times being just visual.
I’ve seen only NOT_RICHARD@lemmy.today post them. A two day account as well
Seems like the guy has dug up his USA bad folder
Why can’t we contribute just to have fun, why should there be some kind of an award? Besides, that’s just like the awards on Reddit and we know how well those work. The same one-liner under every post, flooded with awards.
This system just encourages farming and creates a hive mind mentality. Lemmy is great the way it is.
Go to your profile settings trough the site. There you’ll see a section for importing/exporting your subscriptions, just click on it and it should download a json file.
Same. It’s amazing how much time I have when the algorithm isn’t shoving me endless content, trying to keep me engaged.
The art style is really cute, looks great for a first project!
What’s the game you’re working on?
Yes, as you progress through the story more activities become available
I started Spider-Man 2 and I’m already at the halfway point. It’s really fun! The swinging feels great, the traversal is expanded from the last games and it’s amazing.
The devs said that they’re working on a new sorting method that pushes small communities up in the feed. I’m excited to see how it will work.
The API changes didn’t really have an effect on me since I had always used the official Reddit app, and only switched to Apollo a week before the blackout. The reason I left is because Reddit’s response was really out of touch and insulting to its users. After coming to the fediverse I realised just how horrible Reddit has become and I don’t plan on going back.
I recently started Sea of stars and it’s pretty fun. The art direction is great and the animated cutscenes are just amazing. The only complaint I have is that the music is a bit repetitive.
I’ve known for the lack of privacy online for a while but joining lemmy really made me change the way I browse the Internet. I switched to Firefox with unlock origin, started to use a password manager with randomly generated passwords and got more conscious about my internet habits overall.
I’m pretty attached to my username, sometimes people call me by it and I even have some nicknames originating from it. I use it in only four places, but I definitely feel it has become my default username as of recently.
I joined kbin on 10 June. I thought it was stupid to have a two-day protest and I figured I’d need something to replace reddit. Then I moved to lemmy on 23 June because it supported apps, after that on 4 July I moved to my current instance because .ml was having problems and that’s where I am now
In Bulgaria we have the very creative insult „You’re as sharp as an edge on a round table”, which I find pretty amusing
The site has all current clients so I’d recommend checking it. As for me, I use Element X. It’s not bad, the only annoying thing is that it’s always asking me to turn on chat backup but when I do it encounters an error. But besides this, it’s alright, it does everything I need it to do.
