$250-$300k is the new $100k from the 90’s imo. It’s rough out here.

Many Samsung devices have a quick button for NFC toggling in their drop down menu, not sure about other phones though.
I’m not arguing to do nothing, just attempting some clarity on the broader strokes of the issues. Much of our understandings of natural processes are still immature and incomplete - appreciating that fact should be a guiding principle for any near-to-hand actions.
Also consider climate cycles such as ice ages. Imagine a coalition finds a wildy successful heat reduction strategy and it impacts well beyond what was anticipated? How would things go if we accelerrated glaciation down to the gulf of Mexico? The Earth’s wobble and axial tilt are part of this process over incredible periods of time… CFC’s and the ozone are a good example of rapid and unanticipated results of human inputs. No easy answer even with stakes as high as they appear.
Run a Pop Socket on your phone and buy a couple of these:

It makes an S22U so much more ergonomic for smaller hands. YMMV.
Check out this YouTube channel for some insight into the Russian populations opinions on their politics… spoiler: it’s mostly depressing.
Never say never.
If there was a proper way for people to express the problem then that would be great. But, as it stands with F2P games, and ones as complicated as Overwatchs history, well, fucking Steam slaughter is AN option for most. Fuck the game and company, there are no redeeming values. Even if these there is a dilution of review efficacy, oh well.
Toats not I! Genuine af.

Invaluable awareness - thanks, Mrwiggles!
This is the worst, especially in the suburbs. When I finally called on my psychopath backyard losers the Animal Control officer stated clear and bold: “hounds should be illegal in the suburbs…”. Spoiler: they are not.
After calling AC, these same people have gone on to harass my family. Flipping off my partner and young kids at elementary SCHOOL. Playing explicit death-metal music as soon as their webcams alert them we are in our yard… I’ll never get over hearing “…hey Alexa…”, cue hateful music that never happened before (it stops once we are back in our home). I’ve talked to two attorneys and there is nothing we can do, aside from embarrassing and reaching civil suits. We’ve been in this neighborhood for almost 30 years and have never had an issue. They’ve been here for 3 years.
Anyways, long rant about an awful circumstance. And before anyone posts about “I’d do ‘this or that’ to them…” keep in mind that if litigation occurs, the last thing I will have documented is a harassment response from me and mine.
Lol, thanks for reading! If only you could pick your “neighbors”!!!
Contracting isn’t always that cut and dry. Different industries and sectors of employment can use it for indefinite employment, and as such, many people can end up relying and hoping for longest possible work. I.e., USA Federal Contracting. Creating a union to protect workers and fight for financial fairness isn’t something that Contractors should be excluded from – it is still work after all. And in the case above-mentioned the actual workers do not negotiate with the contract issuer, but the middleman, a contract company – human capital.

I enjoyed reading this, hopefully you share more stories on Lemmy in the future.
