    it’s a shame that AI keeps being shoved everywhere it doesn’t belong, so my first thought after reading a “how AI could improve X” headline is “no, fuck off with that”, because there are some legitimately cool applications for machine learning out there (like the one in the article) that don’t involve slapping on ChatGPT for the sake of adding “AI-enhanced” to the long list of buzzwords on the landing page.

    I think it’s strange that content producers see AI as a competitor rather than what it really is: a valuable future tool of theirs. AI can really take all the grind out of any kind of design/performance work, and expedite the heck out of your production.

    I’ve always wanted to make a game, but it’s a huge task that requires either spending money on assets like music, models, and art, or investing time in learning how to create them myself (and then some more time to create them). I’m actually excited to see if AI could help with this, potentially making game development more accessible for solo developers.

    Whether AI will be added into games doesn’t really concern me. If they add AI and it makes a game worse - I can always play something else.
