The Amiga version is… weird. I mean, yes, the graphics are more detailed than the NES version (but they don’t compare to the X68000 extension of the Castlevania series), but it’s janky and weird and the final form of Dracula looks like a demonic Richard Simmons.

The last game isn’t Castlevania, it’s a game developed at the same time under the same roof as Castlevania for NES. The MSX2 game shares graphics and themes but is intended to be a different game with different gameplay focused more on exploration.

The PC port on PC speaker sounds terrible, did it predate Adlib? It would otherwise be acceptable as a PC game if I pretend it’s not trying to be Castlevania.

The MSX2 game that was co-developed alongside the NES Castlevania is kind of cool. Not a port, was released at the same time and shares graphics assets but with more exploration focus. I wonder what the control was like—never tried out MSX before.
